Cortese family comes together to help one of our own!

Last Saturday, January 8th, many of our staff here at Cortese came together to volunteer their time to assist in the hours required for Wol Ayay, one of our employees in gathering his required hours for his Habitat house. We banked 100 hours for Wol! Wol and his family are new to the Buffalo area. They are refugees from Southern Sudan and have suffered much in their home land due to religous persecution. Wol has 6 brothers and sisters as well as a mom and dad. That makes 9 people living currently in a two bedroom apartment! Wol graduated last May from Canisius College and has an ecomonics degree. He currently is working here as out expeditor and as an apprentice carpenter. He aspires to run a crew on his own someday in that he loves construction and working with his hands. We are proud to have Wol in our employ! He has earned about 200 hours so far on his way to the required 500!!
